Ecolint, A History of the International School of Geneva

The International School of Geneva, known as Ecolint, is the oldest international school in the world.
This history places the International School of Geneva within the context of educational, demographic, economic, and political changes; it explores the psyche of the School and analyses the diverse trends which have accompanied the rapid growth in international education the world over.

Othman Hamayed worked at Ecolint between 1974 and 2008 as a French teacher, a Head of Department, Head of the francophone section of the Secondary School, and then as Principal of a unified francophone/anglophone Secondary School at La Grande Boissière campus. From 2005 to 2008, he served as the Foundation ‘s Director of Education.

Conan de Wilde attended Ecolint, where he was a student of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the La Châtaigneraie campus. He currently teaches at the Campus des Nations. He has also acted as a Head of Department, a Curriculum coordinator and as a Staff representative to the Governing Board of the International School of Geneva.
